The gripping zone features smooth surfaces near the tips to hold single cores without causing damage, alongside serrated gripping surfaces and a pipe grip for flat and round material. A clear-cut outside edge on the gripping surfaces enables work on flush-mounted junction boxes and allows deburring of feed-through holes. Slim overall dimensions facilitate access in confined spaces, while the bolted joint delivers precise, zero-backlash operation throughout. Stripping holes accommodate conductors of 0.75–1.5 mm² and 2.5 mm². The integrated crimping die handles wire ferrules from 0.5 to 2.5 mm². Cable shears incorporate induction-hardened precision cutting edges rated for copper and aluminium cables up to 5 × 2.5 mm² or 15 mm diameter, with a multi-stranded copper cable cutting capacity of 50 mm². VDE tested. AWG rating: 1/0. Where fitted with an opening spring integrated in the joint, an activated locking lever keeps the cutting edges closed while other functions remain active. The intelligent latching mechanism allows gripping without opening the pliers, keeping the cutting edge closed and protected when not in use.
