The KNIPEX 97 43 66 EVO Crimp System Pliers address this requirement by accepting all crimping dies and locators from the 97 49 XX series, making one tool usable across almost 1,000 crimping applications. Specially modified for MC4 EVO 2 connectors, the pliers handle conductor cross-sections from 4.0 to 10.0 mm² (AWG 12, 10, and 8). The almost parallel crimping motion, combined with precision dies and a ratchet mechanism, delivers consistently high crimping quality on every cycle. The ratchet is unlockable, and crimping pressure is factory-calibrated and field-adjustable to suit varying installation requirements. Lever-action geometry optimises force transmission for fatigue-reduced operation, and the tool is designed for both one- and two-handed use. A locator for precise positioning of MC4 EVO 2 connectors is included. An additional locator for all MC4 series solar connectors (97 49 71 1) is available separately, and crimping dies for applications beyond the standard range are available on request. Constructed from special quality chrome vanadium electric steel, oil-hardened, the 97 43 66 EVO is built to professional standards for demanding large-scale photovoltaic installations.
