The Draper 60245 Smooth Cut Flat File is manufactured from carbon chrome steel that has been hardened and tempered to deliver consistent cutting performance across its 300mm length at a 6mm profile. A rust preventative finish is applied to the file body and the tool is additionally dipped in rust preventative oil, providing dual-layer protection against corrosion during storage and use in workshop environments. Manufactured in accordance with BS498, the recognised British Standard for files and rasps, the 60245 meets defined requirements for geometry, tooth form, and material quality. The smooth cut grade makes it well suited to finishing work and deburring operations where a finer tooth pattern is required to refine surfaces without removing excessive material. Supplied as a single Smooth Cut Flat File measuring 6 x 300mm.
