The Draper 60240 Second Cut Flat File measures 6 x 300mm and is ground to a second cut tooth profile, making it well suited to intermediate stock removal where a smooth working surface is required without resorting to a rough cut. Constructed from carbon chrome steel that has been hardened and tempered, the file delivers consistent cutting performance and long service life under regular workshop use. A rust preventative finish is applied during manufacture, and the file is additionally dipped in rust preventative oil to protect the cutting faces and body from corrosion during storage and use. The file is manufactured in accordance with BS498, the British Standard governing the dimensions and performance of engineers' files, providing confidence in dimensional accuracy and tooth consistency. Supplied as a single file, this product is a practical addition to any professional workshop hand tool kit.
