Driving out parallel pins, dowels and roll pins demands a punch that can withstand repeated impact without deforming at the tip or mushrooming at the head. The Draper Expert Octagonal Parallel Pin Punch addresses both concerns through its construction from special air-hardened chrome vanadium steel, a material selected for its resistance to wear and its ability to retain dimensional accuracy over extended use. The tip of the punch is accurately ground to ensure positive engagement with the pin being driven, reducing the risk of slippage during use. The head is specially tempered, which helps it absorb hammer blows consistently without cracking or spreading — a critical property in professional workshop environments where punches are subjected to sustained, heavy use. The octagonal cross-section of the shank provides a positive grip in the hand and prevents the tool from rolling on the workbench between operations. At 4 mm diameter and 150 mm in length, this punch is suited to driving pins of the corresponding diameter in a range of mechanical assemblies. The punch is sold individually, making it straightforward to replace or supplement specific sizes within an existing set. Supplied as part of the Draper Expert range, this pin punch is designed for professional and trade workshop use where consistent performance and durability are required.
Expert Quality, special air hardened chrome vanadium steel for long life. The tips are accurately ground, with specially tempered heads.
