Achieving clean, precise cuts in wood demands tools that hold an edge and withstand the repeated force of mallet work. The Draper Expert Soft Grip Wood Chisel Kit (SKU 88605) addresses this directly, providing a complete eight-piece set comprising six chisels, a honing guide and an aluminium oxide sharpening stone so blades can be maintained to a consistent, work-ready edge. Each chisel features a full-length bevel-edged blade manufactured from chrome vanadium steel that has been hardened tempered and finely ground. A clear lacquer coating is applied for corrosion protection preserving blade condition during storage and between tasks. The six blade widths — 6 12 20 26 32 and 38mm — cover the range of common joinery and carpentry cuts from fine detail work through to wide dado and housing joints. The handles are formed from impact-resistant soft grip polypropylene providing comfort under sustained use and the resilience to accept mallet blows without splitting or deforming. The set is display packed in a blow mould case keeping each chisel located and protected both in transit and in the workshop.
