Securing workpieces reliably on the bench is fundamental to precision engineering work, and the Draper 45230 Engineers Bench Vice is built to meet that demand. The body is constructed from quality cast iron, providing the mass and rigidity required to hold components firmly without flex or movement during machining, filing, or assembly operations. The vice is fitted with hardened carbon steel interchangeable jaws, which offer a durable gripping surface capable of withstanding the repeated clamping forces typical of workshop use. The interchangeable design allows the jaws to be replaced when worn, extending the working life of the vice. Clamping force is applied via a steel screw and handle, giving the operator positive, smooth control over jaw pressure. With a jaw width of 100mm, this bench vice is suited to a broad range of workpiece sizes commonly encountered in engineering and fabrication environments. It is supplied as a single unit and arrives carton packed, ready for bench mounting.
Quality cast iron body with steel screw and handle. Hardened carbon steel interchangeable jaws.
