For industrial recovery and off-road applications requiring serious pulling capacity, the Sealey RW8180 delivers a 8180kg (18,000lb) line pull rated at the first layer of cable on the drum. A 2.3kW 12V DC series wound motor provides first class pulling power, working through a 4-stage planetary gear system using oversized components for greater torque, combined with an in-drum brake for secure load holding. Current draw is 95A at no load and 420A at maximum load. The 516:1 gear ratio delivers controlled, progressive line speed 3.5m/min at no load and 0.8m/min at maximum load. A remote control allows power in and power out of cable from a safe distance, keeping the operator clear during recovery operations. The ergonomic 'lift and turn' free spool clutches and 4-way roller fairlead ensure smooth, even distribution of the 13mm diameter, 25m wire rope onto the drum. Heavy-duty all-weather housing protects the winch in demanding conditions. Backed by a 3 Year Guarantee. A replacement wire rope (RW8180.WR 13mm x 25m) is available separately.
