Maintaining overgrown hedges demands reliable cutting performance alongside user comfort, and this Draper 230V hedge trimmer addresses both. The tool is fitted with laser-cut 550mm double-action blades capable of cutting stems up to 24mm in diameter at a speed of 2,800 strokes per minute, driven by a robust 600W motor supported by metal gears and a mechanical syncro to enhance cutting performance. The adjustable rear handle rotates and tilts up and down, allowing the operator to angle the blades for horizontal, vertical, and angled cuts. The front handle incorporates a large, easy-to-use switch, while the rear grip uses an ergonomic soft-grip design to reduce fatigue during extended use. Safety is addressed through a two-handed VDE approved trigger switch with hand guard and a quick-stop electronic brake that halts blade movement rapidly when the trigger is released. The power cord management is considered throughout the design: strain-relief protects the cable at its entry point, and a dedicated cable hook assists the operator in keeping the 10m VDE approved cable clear of the cutting path. The trimmer runs on 230V mains power and weighs 3.0kg. It is supplied complete with a blade storage guard for safe transport and storage between uses.
