Overgrown hedges and hard-to-reach high branches are a persistent challenge in professional landscaping and grounds maintenance. The Draper 31865 18V cordless pole hedge trimmer addresses this directly with a telescopic pole that extends from 1.9 to 2.4 metres, allowing safe, controlled access to elevated shrubs and hedges without the need for a ladder. At the heart of the trimmer is a 410mm cutting blade with a 16mm branch cutting capacity, driven at a no-load speed of 1,200rpm by an 18V Li-ion power system. The pivoting head offers five preset angles — -60°, -30°, 0°, 30°, and 60° — enabling precise trimming of both the tops and sides of hedges at a wide range of orientations. User comfort over extended work sessions is addressed through an ergonomic handle and auxiliary grip for enhanced control, supplemented by a detachable shoulder strap to redistribute the 3.73kg net weight during prolonged use. The unit operates on an 18V platform and is supplied complete with one 2.0Ah Li-ion battery and one charger, providing a ready-to-work package straight from the box. Specifications at a glance: voltage 18V, cutting length 410mm, cutting capacity 16mm, head angles -60°/-30°/0°/30°/60°, no-load speed 1,200rpm, telescopic handle range 1.9–2.4m, net weight 3.73kg.
