The Sykes Pickavant 13310000 Mechanical Puller is a long-reach, two-leg design specifically configured for these deeper-access pulling situations, with a working range of 200mm reach by 95mm spread.
The two-leg configuration is preferred over three-leg for components where access is restricted to opposing sides only, or where the workpiece geometry rules out three-point engagement. The long reach of 200mm allows the legs to extend well past surrounding bracketry to engage on a workpiece set deep within an assembly.
The 95mm spread defines the maximum gap between leg tips, sized for medium components such as automotive pulleys, smaller hubs, and similarly-scaled industrial bearings and gears. Combined with the 200mm reach, this gives the puller a usable working envelope that conventional shorter-reach pullers cannot match.
