Fully automatic microprocessor control manages the charge cycle without manual intervention, helping to extend battery life, while auto voltage detection automatically identifies whether a 6V or 12V battery is connected. The digital display provides clear charge status monitoring throughout. The SCI90 operates across three variable charge rates — 3A, 5A, and 20A — making it suitable for light maintenance charging through to rapid recovery of heavily discharged batteries. A float mode monitoring function ensures the battery holds an optimal charge once the cycle is complete. For batteries that have suffered sulphation, a dedicated desulfation mode is included. The unit also features a 150A boost mode and an engine start mode for emergency jump-starting of dead batteries. Compatible battery types include AGM, gel, calcium, and sulphated lead acid chemistries. Input is 230V AC at 50–60Hz with an input power rating of 1,400W. Maximum charging current is 20A and maximum output current is 90–150A. Output cable length is 1,750mm. The unit measures 232 x 258 x 171mm and weighs 5.82kg. Protection features include reverse polarity detection, reverse hook-up protection, and thermal runaway prevention to safeguard both the charger and the connected battery.
