Accurate electrical diagnosis demands a meter that can handle a wide range of measurements without constant manual range adjustment. The Draper 41820 Auto-Ranging Digital Multimeter addresses this by automatically selecting the correct measurement range, delivering true RMS (TRMS) readings to 5999 counts across voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, frequency, temperature, diode testing, and non-contact voltage detection, as well as hEF measurement and continuity testing. The meter is fitted with a backlit LCD screen for clear readings in low-light workshop environments, supported by a data hold function that freezes the displayed value for convenient recording. An automatic power-off feature conserves battery life, and an audible continuity buzzer provides instant feedback when testing circuits. The included temperature probe extends measurement capability to a range of -50°C to 1000°C (-58°F to 1832°F). Measurement ranges are extensive: DC voltage spans 600mV to 600V; AC voltage covers 6V, 60V, and 600V; both AC and DC current range from 600µA to 10A; resistance is measurable from 600Ω to 60MΩ; and frequency measurement extends from 100Hz to 10MHz. Capacitance is covered from 10nF to 100mF. The unit measures 172mm x 174mm x 50mm and weighs approximately 361g. It is supplied complete with test leads, a temperature probe, and one 6F22 9V battery, making it ready for immediate use straight from the box.
