The Knipex 00 50 04 T BK Tethering System Set provides a complete, tested solution for securing hand tools during industrial climbing, arborist work, rescue operations, marine environments and any other task requiring compliance with working-at-height regulations. The system works by combining three types of component into a versatile attachment arrangement. A gathered fabric strap lanyard extends from approximately 90 cm at rest to approximately 1.5 m under load, absorbing movement whilst keeping the tool tethered. Adapter straps connect the lanyard to the tool or the operator, and carabiners provide quick, secure clip points between components. Together they offer a large number of attachment options to suit different working configurations. The set holds tools weighing up to 1.5 kg (3.3 lbs), a capacity verified through numerous drop tests. It is suitable for all Knipex pliers that feature a tether attachment point. The complete set contains one Knipex 00 50 01 T BK Lanyard (1,000 mm), three Knipex 00 50 02 T BK Adapter Straps (270 mm each) and two Knipex 00 50 03 T BK Carabiners (82 mm, supplied as two pieces). Important: this tethering system is not classified as personal protective equipment (PPE) and is not suitable for personal safety. It is designed solely to prevent tool loss, reduce the risk of injury to persons below and prevent damage to objects from dropped tools.
