The Estwing E239MM is a roofers pick hammer solid forged from a single piece of steel, a construction method that delivers exceptional durability and strength for demanding roofing work. The design addresses the core tasks of slate roofing: a spike is built into the head for making holes in slate, whilst a dedicated claw enables efficient extraction of old nails — both functions delivered in a single, balanced tool. The striking face carries two practical features. A magnetised head allows nails to be started accurately with one hand, improving productivity at height, and the milled face texture provides additional grip on the nail head to reduce glancing strikes. The handle is a genuine leather grip, sanded and lacquered to enhance comfort during extended use. This finishing process also gives the hammer its characteristically refined appearance. The hammer weighs 21oz (600g) with an overall length of 13 inches (330mm). Draper Tools is licensed to sell this Estwing product in the UK, Ireland and Europe, and the set contents comprise one Estwing E239MM Milled Face Roofers Pick Hammer with Leather Grip.
