A. The 53084 supports ARC/MMA stick welding. Output spans 50-130A across all modes. Suitable for mild steel.
A. The 53084 requires a 230V supply. If you are unsure whether your supply is adequate, consult a qualified electrician before installation.
A. The 53084 has a duty cycle of 10% @130A / 40% @65A / 60% @53A. Duty cycle is measured over a 10-minute period — a 60% duty cycle means 6 minutes of continuous welding followed by a 4-minute cool-down. Operating at lower amperages increases available run time.
A. The 53084 is supplied with Electrode holder, 200A, Earth clamp, 300A, Chipping hammer/wire brush, Face mask. Additional consumables are available separately through PartsForMachines.com.
A. The 53084 weighs 11.5kg and includes a carry handle for transport between locations. It can be moved by a single person and is suited to workshop use.
A. The 53084 is primarily suited to mild steel.
A. Yes. The 53084 is fitted with automatic thermal overload protection that cuts output if the machine exceeds safe operating temperature. It will restart automatically once it has cooled. Operating within the rated duty cycle minimises the frequency of thermal interruptions.
A. The 53084 is primarily designed for workshop use. For outdoor or site use, protect the machine from rain and dust. IP21S rating provides limited splash resistance but not weatherproofing.
A. Match electrode diameter to material thickness and the machine's output range. As a guide: 1.6 mm electrodes suit sheet up to ~2 mm; 2.5 mm for 3–5 mm plate; 3.2 mm for 5–8 mm; 4.0 mm for 8 mm and above. Start at the lower amperage end of the electrode's range and increase until the arc runs smoothly.
