Choosing the wrong blast media for the job can damage softer substrates, leave heavy residue that contaminates surfaces, or simply waste material through poor efficiency. Sealey's ASF25KG aluminium silicate blasting media is a general purpose abrasive with a fine 0.09mm-0.25mm particle size range, designed to work effectively across a wide variety of materials. It is particularly well suited to wood, stone, and ferrous metals, where its finer, lighter composition means it removes surface contamination and coatings without the aggressive cutting action of heavier media. One of its notable advantages over denser blast media is the low residue it leaves behind the lighter particles produce less dark contamination on the blasted surface, which is especially beneficial when working on materials that will be painted or coated immediately afterwards. Supplied in a 25kg bag, the ASF25KG is an economical quantity for workshop or production use. As with all single-use blast media, it should be treated as non-recyclable and not recirculated through blasting equipment.
