The bright chrome finish has been salt spray tested to over 72 hours, providing a degree of corrosion resistance appropriate for general industrial environments. The latch body carries a UL94 V-0 flame retardant rating and UV resistance of up to 1,000 hours, making it suited to installations where thermal and light exposure is a consideration.
As a slam latch, the 1256 closes and holds panels securely on contact, preventing accidental opening from vibration or repeated handling, whilst still permitting quick, controlled access during routine maintenance and operation.
