The Metrol NS-SS-V-10-400 offers the longest stroke in the 316 stainless variable force range. A 400mm stroke extending to 850mm for fully-opening outdoor panels. A 316 stainless rod and body shrug off salt, moisture and wash-down chemicals; force is adjustable across 70–1200N and tuned on setup, with a 39% progression across the stroke. It operates across −30°C to +80°C, supports panel weights of 25–140kg per balanced pair and is supplied at maximum force unless specified; the stainless body runs about 5mm longer than the equivalent steel strut, and stainless end fittings thread onto its rod. Typical uses include display lids, counter hatches, canopy panels, loft hatches exposed to weather or regular wash-down cleaning. A threaded stainless end fitting screws onto the rod while a stainless bracket mounts the body end, and a pair of struts gives an even, corrosion-resistant lift that holds where it is set. Specify stainless fittings and brackets alongside it to keep the entire assembly corrosion-free. Within the range, its nearest strokes are NS-SS-V-10-350; the SSMLT-10-400 stainless locking tube holds it open; a lower-cost steel version is available as NS-V-10-400. The strut carries a two-year guarantee, with custom strokes and forces available on request.
