Its M10 thread suits a gas strut with a 14mm rod, and the 16mm ball clips onto BRK-11. The ball sits on a M10 stud 20mm long behind the 25mm body, threading into the bracket socket side. It is one of a family of end fittings that connect a strut to its mounting — a ball joint to swivel freely, an eye to hinge on a pin, a clevis to pin in line, or a rose eye to take up misalignment. Sized for a 14mm rod, the fitting is matched by thread to the strut and by size to the fixing. It is found on worktop flaps, toolbox lids, seat bases, under-bed boxes and similar panels.
