The 1422-038 is an 8mm triangle insert compression latch finished in black powder coat, designed for secure panel fastening across a wide range of enclosure and cabinet applications. The housing and cylinder are constructed from zinc die-cast alloy, with a mild steel zinc-plated cam and shaft, delivering a robust and corrosion-resistant assembly suitable for demanding industrial environments.
The latch achieves a sealed IP65 rating, making it appropriate for installations where dust exclusion and water jet resistance are required. It accepts a panel cutout of 19.5 x 19.5 mm and accommodates panel thicknesses from 1 mm to 16 mm. The adjustable grip range covers five increments: 11.4–27.2 mm, 25.4–28.6 mm, 38.9–54.6 mm, 52.6–68.3 mm, and 66.3–76.2 mm, providing flexibility across varied panel build-ups. A cam is included as standard.
