The 1422-048 is an 8mm square insert compression latch finished in black powder coat, designed for secure panel fastening across a wide range of enclosure and cabinet applications. The housing and cylinder are constructed from zinc die-cast alloy with a black powder-coated finish, while the cam and shaft are manufactured from mild steel with zinc plating for corrosion resistance.
The latch accepts a 19.5 x 19.5 mm panel cutout and accommodates panel thickness from 1 mm to 16 mm. Five grip range options are available — 11.4–27.2 mm, 25.4–28.6 mm, 38.9–54.6 mm, 52.6–68.3 mm, and 66.3–76.2 mm — providing considerable flexibility across varied enclosure depths. The hinge carries IP65 ingress protection, confirming suitability for dusty or wet environments. A cam is included as standard.
