Contaminated compressed air — carrying dirt, dust, and water vapour — reduces tool performance and shortens the service life of downstream equipment. The PCL ATF12 is an air treatment filter with 1/2" ports, forming part of PCL's Air Treatment series of FRL units designed to clean and dry compressed air within a system.
The ATF12 filters to 10 microns and features a polycarbonate bowl that allows the user to monitor element condition and collected liquid level at a glance. The bowl is enclosed within a protective metal guard, providing a safety barrier against excessive pressures, temperatures, or aggressive chemicals.
Drawing on the brand narrative for the Air Treatment series, PCL note that even well-maintained compressors pass airborne contaminants into the system; removing these contaminants improves compressed air quality and helps extend the working life of air tools and associated equipment.
