Abrasive work on metal surfaces demands a reliable, flexible medium that can be torn to length and shaped to suit the task at hand. This emery cloth roll from Draper is constructed on a J-weight cloth backing, which provides the flexibility needed to tear cleanly into strips without the need for cutting tools, making it practical for use across a range of workshop and garage environments. The abrasive grain is calcined aluminium oxide, resin bonded to the backing to deliver improved grain adhesion throughout the working life of the roll. The resin bond also provides anti-static properties, which helps reduce loading during use and contributes to longer-lasting performance compared with conventionally bonded abrasives. Suitable for general purpose applications, this roll is appropriate for rust removal as well as polishing and finishing work on metal, non-ferrous alloys, and painted surfaces. At 25 mm wide and 50 m in length, the roll provides a substantial working supply for regular workshop use. Please note: the master product description references 60 grit; the product title specifies 120 grit. This listing has been flagged for source verification.
