Sanding to a fine finish demands an abrasive that resists clogging and stays sharp throughout the job. These 125mm gold sanding discs from Draper are manufactured from aluminium oxide treated with calcium stearate and resin bonded to deliver self-sharpening and anti-clogging performance, keeping the abrasive cutting freely for longer and reducing disc changes on extended finishing work. The heavy-duty D-Weight backing paper is selected to withstand the most demanding applications, giving each disc the rigidity and durability needed for tough material removal as well as controlled finishing passes. Hook and loop backing provides secure adhesion to compatible backing pads whilst allowing fast disc changes without tools, minimising downtime between grits or tasks. Eight pre-punched 8mm dust extraction holes are positioned across the disc face to improve the evacuation of abraded particles during sanding, helping to maintain a cleaner work surface and clearer sightlines throughout the operation. The discs are suited to sanding and finishing a wide range of materials including wood, metals — including ferrous alloys — painted surfaces, varnish, plastic and fillers. Compatible with all 125mm random orbit sanders fitted with a hook and loop backing pad, including Draper Stock No. 58097 and 89522. Supplied as a pack of 10 discs, each 125mm in diameter at 240 grit.
