It is suitable for use on most masonry applications, including brick and concrete blocks, making it a practical choice across the plumbing, electrical and general building trades. The bit features a laser-welded diamond segment connection, providing a secure bond between the six diamond segments and the steel body. Each segment stands 8mm in height, delivering consistent cutting performance throughout the working life of the bit. With a cutting depth of 150mm and an overall length of 170mm, it is well suited to through-wall penetrations typical in service installation work. Compatibility is handled via a standard 1/2" BSP threaded connection, making the bit compatible with all 1/2" BSP threaded arbors. This is a dry-cutting bit and must not be used in hammer mode; doing so risks damage to the diamond segments and the bit body. Supplied as a single 127mm diameter bit, the Draper 43715 is ready to fit to any compatible 1/2" BSP arbor and put straight to work on site.
