A. This size spans 35-50mm of fitted hose outside diameter. Measure the hose over its fitting, not the bare bore - anywhere inside 35-50mm and the HGS50BG is the right clip. One JCS size covers a span that would take two fixed nut-and-bolt clamps. In imperial terms that is roughly 1 3/8 to 1 15/16 in, covering common 1 1/2 and 1 3/4 in hose sizes.
A. For this size band JCS publishes a recommended torque of 6.0 Nm (54 lb-in). Work up to it gradually with the clip seated centrally on the barb; going past it risks damaging the hose rather than improving the seal.
A. No mixed metals here - band, housing and screw are all the same stainless grade, and JCS verifies that through salt mist testing. Cheaper clips often pair a stainless band with a plated screw, which is the part that fails first.
A. That is one of their core applications: JCS stainless clips serve temporary and permanent pumping, stormwater and overflow systems, wastewater treatment works, and agricultural irrigation networks, where corrosion resistance decides service life.
A. Hi-Grip 304 stainless is marine-quality 18/8 steel with Lloyd's Register Type Approval and is suited to saltwater service. JCS also makes a 316 grade for maximum corrosion resistance in the most demanding marine, offshore, food and pharmaceutical settings - contact us if your application is in that category.
A. JCS designs against it: the hex screw is cold-headed and work-hardened with rolled threads, so it holds its setting and will not round off. On high-vibration equipment, JCS's guidance is to recheck the clip after service to keep the seal intact.
A. This is a pack of 5 clips, all 35-50mm adjustment range. Other pack formats of the same clip are listed separately.
