Where a seized, rusted clip means cutting the joint apart, specifying stainless from the start pays for itself at the first service.
This is the 9.5-12mm size of the Hi-Grip worm drive range. Where cheaper clips cut their threads and leave sharp band edges, JCS rolls the screw threads for strength and fully rounds the band edges so the hose is protected as the clip bites. JCS publishes a recommended torque of 3.0 Nm (26 lb-in) for this size - seat the clip centrally on the barb and work up to it gradually. Hi-Grip exceeds BS5315 and holds BSI Kitemark and NATO approvals.
Packed as a carton of 5 for the counter and the toolbox, it carries the full stainless specification - every component 18/8 (EN 1.4301) stainless steel with Lloyd's Register Type Approval - for hose joints in wet, corrosive and saltwater service from boats to washdown bays.
Also available - the same clip as a retail carton (HGS12RP); the same clip as a bulk pack (HGS12BP); the 11-16mm size (HGS16BG).

A. It adjusts between 9.5-12mm. Measure the outside diameter of your hose when fitted over its pipe or fitting - if that measurement falls within 9.5-12mm, this clip fits. JCS clips offer a larger adjustment range per size than typical nut-and-bolt clamps. In imperial terms that is roughly 3/8 to 1/2 in, covering common 3/8 in hose sizes.
A. For this size band JCS publishes a recommended torque of 3.0 Nm (26 lb-in). Work up to it gradually with the clip seated centrally on the barb; going past it risks damaging the hose rather than improving the seal.
