A. The 53301800 Neutral Magnetic Jaws are 180mm in size and are compatible with any 8-inch vice, including the Sykes-Pickavant Unbreakable Vice.
A. The jaws are constructed from hardened aluminium alloy 6063, T66F25, with magnesium and silicon as alloying elements. This material offers superior corrosion resistance and an excellent surface finish.
A. The jaws are equipped with an extremely powerful neodymium magnetic strip that attaches directly to the vice jaws, enabling rapid and tool-free setup.
A. No. The magnetic strip is only magnetic against the vice jaws themselves. It will not attract debris or filings to the clamping surface, nor will it magnetise the clamped parts.
A. The holding force for a 100mm jaw is 3.5kg, equivalent to 34N. The neodymium magnetic strip is described as extremely powerful.
A. Yes. The jaws are designed to be used in combination with other types in the range. For example, for taper pins or thin-walled tubes, the Neutral or Prism/Vee Pipe jaw can be paired with the Rubber option. For irregularly profiled parts with one flat surface, the Fibre-covered jaw can be used on the flat side and the Rubber-covered jaw on the profiled side.
