Carbon and glaze deposits built up in piston ring grooves are a stubborn problem that slow down engine rebuilds and risk compromising the seal of new rings if not properly removed. The Sealey VS148 Piston Ring Groove Cleaner offers fast and reliable removal of carbon and glaze deposits from piston ring grooves and is suitable for pistons between 51mm and 127mm, covering a wide range of petrol and diesel engines. It is supplied with three 6-bladed cutters that between them cover most popular piston groove sizes: Cutter 1 covers 1/16", 5/64", 3/32", 1/8", 5/32", and 3/16"; Cutter 2 covers 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 4.5mm and 1/4"; and Cutter 3 covers 1.2, 1.5, 1.8, 2.8, 5, and 5.5mm. With both imperial and metric sizes catered for across the three cutters, the VS148 is a practical addition to any engine reconditioning toolkit.
