TX-STAR® fasteners demand precise, well-made tooling to avoid rounding off lobes under load — a problem that poorly finished bits accelerate. The Draper Expert TX-STAR® Socket Bit Set provides nine 1/2" square drive, 78 mm long socket bits purpose-built for demanding workshop and professional automotive use. Each bit is forged from Chrome Molybdenum steel, a material chosen for its strength and resistance to deformation under high torque. A black phosphate finish is applied to every bit to provide corrosion protection, keeping the set serviceable in workshop environments where moisture and contaminants are commonplace. A groove and two holes are machined into each bit to accept a retaining ring and pin, securing the bit firmly on the drive during use and reducing the risk of dropped components. The set covers nine TX-STAR® sizes: T20, T25, T30, T40, T45, T50, T55, T60, and T70 — a range that addresses the breadth of TX-STAR® fastener sizes found across automotive, commercial vehicle, and industrial applications. All nine bits are supplied in a sturdy blow-moulded case that protects the set during storage and keeps individual sizes organised and immediately identifiable on the workshop bench.
