The Draper 45245 Vacuum Vice addresses this with a powerful suction base that fixes firmly to any smooth surface, providing a stable working platform wherever it is needed without the requirement for bolting or clamping to a workbench. The vice features a swivelling head with angle adjustment, allowing the workpiece to be positioned in a wide variety of orientations to suit the task at hand. The 75mm jaws are fitted with 'V' groove profiles, making them well suited to gripping cylindrical and irregular-shaped workpieces that would otherwise be difficult to secure in a standard flat-jaw vice. To help protect delicate or finished surfaces during clamping, the vice is supplied with removable soft rubber safety jaw covers that can be fitted or removed as required. The unit arrives in a display carton. This is a versatile, self-contained vice solution suitable for light workshop duties, hobbyist use, tasks requiring a portable, temporary workholding point on any clean, smooth surface.
