The Sealey LS5002 is a 2-metre lifting sling with a 5,000kg straight-configuration safe working load and a 10,000kg SWL in U configuration, manufactured from 100% high-strength polyester with reinforced lifting eyes. Weight for weight, the strap is three to five times stronger than chain alternatives, and crucially, overload can be detected early through visible fraying of the strap a safety advantage that chains cannot offer. Colour-coded red in accordance with European standards for capacity identification, the LS5002 makes compliance and quick visual checks straightforward on busy sites. Safe working load ratings are quoted for both a load between the loop eyes (U configuration) and a load at one end (straight configuration).
