Security fasteners demand specialist tooling, and the Draper TX-STAR® Security Socket Bit Set (16332) is engineered for exactly that purpose. The ten-piece set provides a comprehensive selection of tamper-resistant TX-STAR® profiles — T10T, T15T, T20T, T25T, T27T, T30T, T40T, T45T, T47T and T50T — covering the most commonly encountered security fixings in automotive, workshop and industrial environments. Each socket is manufactured from hardened and tempered chrome vanadium steel ensuring durability under the demands of professional use. The bits themselves are produced from S2 silicon steel and finished with a sand blast treatment for a controlled surface. A knurled ring machined into each socket body provides a positive secure grip when fitting or removing individual sockets by hand. The set accepts a 3/8 inch square drive and each socket measures 48mm in length offering adequate clearance for recessed security fixings. All ten sockets are supplied organised on a steel socket retaining rail keeping the set tidy and preventing loss of individual pieces in a busy workshop.
