Worn or inaccurate tyre pressure gauges cost technicians time and compromise vehicle safety. The PCL AFG4H031 is a linear tyre inflator from the AIRFORCE® MK4 range, fitted with a 0.36 m (14 in) steel braided hose, short stem twin hold-on tyre valve connector and swivel fitting — described by PCL as the 14" forecourt model and designed for high-cycle professional workshop and forecourt use. The AIRFORCE® MK4 features a biomorphic ergonomic body shape that PCL state is easier to use and less prone to damage when dropped. A 20% larger viewing window compared with its predecessor improves scale readability, whilst the gauge body weighs 923 g to reduce work strain during repetitive use. Calibration runs from 0–138 psi / 0–9.6 bar with a display resolution of 2 psi / 0.1 bar, and accuracy is maintained to BS EN 12645:2014 — tested by PCL to over 400,000 cycles at 100% accuracy. The two-stage valve mechanism is designed so that the operator does not have to push against full line pressure on deflate, reducing fatigue. An improved piston and seal design reduces drag, friction, and movement inertia, which PCL state eliminates internal corrosion, sticking, and skewing of accuracy. Maximum inlet pressure is 200 psi / 13.8 bar; flow rate is 500 l/min at 13 bar supply. The inlet/outlet connection is Rp 1/4, and the unit operates across a temperature range of -10°C to +60°C. The superseded SKU for this model is ALG3H031.
