The KNIPEX 95 32 060 Ratchet Cable Cutter with Telescopic Handles addresses this directly through an optimum transmission ratio and two-hand ratchet action, which together minimise the hand force required to achieve a clean cut through demanding conductors. Designed for copper and aluminium single conductors as well as multiple stranded cables, this cutter also handles cables with iron sheath reinforcement and those fitted with hard rubber or plastic sheathing. It is not suitable for steel wire, wire ropes, or fine-stranded (highly flexible) conductors. The ratchet mechanism allows the blade to be opened at any point in the cutting stroke, giving the operator full control throughout the operation.
