Accurate angle and mitre cutting demands a reliable, rigid platform, and the Draper 88192 Precision Mitre Saw is built to meet that requirement in the professional workshop. Whether working on picture frames, architraves, or similar joinery applications, the saw delivers repeatable, precise cuts at a range of angles and mitres. The saw is constructed around a solid one-piece diecast aluminium saw table measuring 400mm in length supported by four solid chrome plated guide rods. The guide rods incorporate an adjustable length stop with a maximum reach of 440mm enabling consistent repeat cuts without re-measuring. A cutting depth regulator and scale on the base provide further control over each pass. The plastic-handled saw is supplied with a 14 tpi wood cutting blade measuring 550mm in length and 45mm in width. Clamping is addressed through two material vice clamps: a standard clamp for general workpieces and an additional clamp specifically for use with short workpieces ensuring secure material retention during cutting. Maximum cutting width clamped at 90° is 125mm rising to 170mm unclamped at 90°. At 45° maximum cutting width clamped is 115mm. Maximum cutting height is 100mm. The unit is supplied in a display carton and has a gross weight of 8.5kg. This combination of diecast construction adjustable stops and dual vice clamping makes the Draper 88192 a practical and well-specified choice for workshops requiring accurate mitre and angle work.
