Cutting metal efficiently demands a blade that can withstand the heat and stress of repeated use. The Draper Expert bi-metal hacksaw blades address this by combining a high speed steel cutting edge with a high quality carbon steel backing, the two materials electron beam welded together to produce a blade that retains edge hardness while resisting breakage along the body. Each blade measures 300mm and is ground to 24 teeth per inch, making them well suited to general metal cutting tasks where a fine, controlled cut is required. The high speed steel strip along the saw edge provides the hardness needed to cut through ferrous and non-ferrous metals, whilst the more flexible carbon steel backing absorbs the flex and vibration inherent in hacksaw work. Conforming to BS 1919, these blades meet the relevant British Standard for hacksaw blades, providing a reliable benchmark for dimensional and performance consistency. Supplied display-packed in cards of ten blades, the pack format is practical for workshop stock control and bench storage. This SKU is sold as a single pack of ten blades.
