The Draper Expert bi-metal hacksaw blades address this by combining a high speed steel cutting edge with a high quality carbon steel backing, joined by an electron beam welding process. This construction delivers the hardness needed for clean, efficient cutting whilst retaining the flexibility of the backing strip, reducing the risk of blade breakage under workshop conditions. At 300mm in length with a 24 teeth-per-inch tooth pitch, these blades are suited to general metal cutting tasks where a fine, controlled finish is required. The 24tpi configuration is appropriate for cutting thin-walled sections, sheet metal, and smaller-diameter bar stock where tooth loading must be managed carefully. These blades conform to BS 1919, the British Standard governing hacksaw blades, giving confidence in dimensional and performance consistency. Each card contains two blades, display packed for retail and trade counter use.
