Cutting metal, plastic, and other materials at fixed angles demands a hacksaw that holds its blade securely in more than one position. The Draper 39253 Soft Grip Hacksaw addresses this with a steel frame fitted with two sets of blade spigots, allowing the blade to be set for straight 90° cuts or repositioned to 45° for angled work — without the need for additional tooling. The handle is constructed from aluminium alloy with an ergonomic soft grip, providing a secure, comfortable hold during extended use. The steel frame delivers the rigidity needed to maintain consistent cutting pressure and blade tension throughout a cut. The hacksaw is supplied complete with a 300mm HSS (High Speed Steel) blade at 24 teeth per inch, suitable for cutting metal stock and similar materials straight from the box. The 24tpi blade pitch is appropriate for medium-section metal cutting, offering a balance between cutting speed and finish quality.
Steel frame with an aluminium alloy soft grip handle. Frame has two sets of blade spigots which allows straight or 45° cutting. Supplied with a 300mm HSS blade.
