The Draper Expert XP1000® VDE Hi-Leverage Combination Pliers (200mm, Tethered) are manufactured from premium steel forged in Germany, with induction-hardened jaws that deliver better gripping performance and an effortless clean cutting edge. The off-centred precision-machined pivot pins allow smooth one-handed operation with minimum play, whilst also increasing grip when required — making them equally effective for delicate and demanding tasks. Electrical safety is built into every dimension of these pliers. Tested to 10,000V, they are certified for use on live circuits of 1,000V AC and 1,500V DC. The two-part bi-material ergonomic soft grip handle maximises user comfort, and integral horns prevent slipping onto live conductors. The handle incorporates a tethered fixing solution designed to comply with Work at Height Regulations, making these pliers suitable for elevated working environments. Compatible lanyards and wrist straps are available separately (lanyard Stock No. 82474; wrist strap Stock No. 03740). Maximum cutting capacity is 2.5mm. Supplied as a single pair with a Draper Expert lifetime warranty.
