Achieving the correct workpiece orientation is essential when using an engineers bench vice for precision clamping tasks. The Draper 45785 swivel base is designed for use with Draper Engineers Bench Vices Stock Nos. 44506 and 45783, allowing the vice to be rotated to the most advantageous angle for the work in hand. Manufactured from good quality grey cast iron, the swivel base offers the rigidity and durability expected in a professional workshop environment. The design incorporates three fixing legs for secure bench mounting and two clamping blocks to lock the vice firmly in the chosen position, preventing unwanted movement during use. The swivel base is supplied loose and is compatible with the 150mm Draper Engineers Bench Vice Stock No. 45783 as well as Stock No. 44506. Cast iron construction ensures the base can withstand the demands of heavy engineering work without deformation or wear over time. For workshops requiring versatility from a bench vice installation, this swivel base provides a straightforward upgrade that extends the functionality of compatible Draper vice models.
