The Draper HI-TORQ® 6 Point Impact Socket addresses this requirement directly through its construction: each socket is forged from chrome molybdenum steel, then hardened and tempered to resist the stress of repeated impact loading. The 6 point drive geometry provides full-face contact across the fastener flats, reducing the risk of rounding under torque. A chemical blacking treatment is applied to the exterior, giving the socket corrosion protection suited to workshop environments where moisture and cutting fluids are present. This socket carries a 1/4 inch square drive and is sized at 4mm, making it appropriate for smaller fasteners encountered in automotive, engineering and general workshop applications. It is supplied display packed as a single unit. Important safety note: only impact-rated sockets and accessories may be used with air or electric powered wrenches. Silver chrome vanadium steel sockets must never be used with impact wrenches, as they can shatter and cause personal injury.
