The 6 point contact geometry engages fastener flats cleanly and evenly, reducing the risk of rounding under high-torque impact loading. This socket is sized at 4.5mm and fits a 1/4 inch square drive. Important safety note: only impact-rated sockets and accessories should be used with air or electric powered wrenches. Chrome vanadium steel sockets must never be substituted, as they are not designed for impact use and can shatter, causing serious personal injury.
