Digging fence post holes in heavy or difficult ground demands a tool built for the task. The Draper 24414 Fence Post Auger is manufactured from tubular steel and combines a sturdy handle with an auger screw designed to bore cleanly into compacted or resistant soil, making it well suited to demanding ground conditions where a standard post hole digger would struggle. Measuring 1050 x 150mm, the auger provides a working length and bore diameter appropriate for standard fence post installations. The tubular steel construction delivers the rigidity needed to apply consistent downward pressure and rotational force through the handle, allowing the auger screw to penetrate progressively without bending or flexing under load. Supplied as a single unit, the Draper 24414 Fence Post Auger is sold loose and requires no additional assembly beyond positioning at the desired post location. It is an appropriate hand tool choice for gardeners, smallholders, and landscaping professionals tackling fence line work across a range of ground types.
For making fence post holes, particularly in heavy or difficult ground. Manufactured from tubular steel with handle and auger screw.
