Fuel delivery faults — blocked, sticky or leaking injectors — can be difficult to diagnose without the right tool. The Draper 24703 5V/12V Injector Tester is designed to operate injectors electronically, enabling accurate diagnosis of these common fuel delivery issues directly on the vehicle. The tester features switchable 5V and 12V outputs to accommodate two distinct injector types: 12V EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) and 5V GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection). Four selectable operating modes — short, medium, long, and continuous — provide precise control over injector activation, and an easy-to-read LED indicator confirms operation at a glance. In continuous mode, the tester can also be used for injector cleaning, extending its diagnostic utility. Powered by the vehicle's own 12V battery, the unit measures 140 x 90 x 35mm and weighs 243g, making it compact and straightforward to handle. The positive and negative leads measure 450mm, and three pairs of 140mm extension leads are included to assist when working in restricted engine bays. The Draper 24703 is designed for use on petrol-fuelled vehicles and is supplied as a complete kit. Its dual-voltage capability makes it suitable for workshops handling both conventional EFI and modern GDI fuel systems.
