Incorrect camshaft timing during a timing belt replacement can cause severe engine damage or complete engine failure. The Sealey VS1700 Petrol Engine Timing Tool Kit provides the camshaft locking tools needed to maintain accurate camshaft timing position when replacing the timing belt on GM EcoTec 1.4, 1.6, 1.8, 2.0 and 2.2 16v engines across Vauxhall, Opel, Saab and Chevrolet vehicles. The tools are designed to fit between camshaft sprockets, holding the camshafts securely in the correct position throughout the procedure. Supplied as a machined pair with an anodised aluminium finish for durability, the kit also includes a warning tag to alert others that timing work is in progress. The VS1700 meets Vauxhall/Opel OEM specification KM-852 and KM-853, and Chevrolet OEM specification EN-852. Compatible vehicles include Vauxhall and Opel Astra-F, Astra-G, Astra-H, Cavalier, Calibra, Combo-C, Corsa-B, Corsa-C, Frontera-A, Frontera-B, Kadett-E, Meriva-A, Omega-B, Signum, Sintra, Tigra, Tigra-B, Vectra-B, Vectra-C, VX220/Speedster, Zafira-A and Zafira-B; Chevrolet Cruze; and Saab 9-3.
