The Draper 90478 Battery, Bulb, Fuse and Continuity Tester brings clarity to the workshop with a single multi-purpose instrument that covers the most common diagnostic checks in one unit. The tester handles dry cell 1.5V batteries in AAA, AA, C, D and button-type formats, as well as 9V batteries in PP3/6LR61 format. It also tests household and automotive fuses and domestic filament bulbs. It is not suitable for CFLs or most LED bulbs. Results are displayed on a clear, simple analogue scale for straightforward interpretation without the need for digital literacy.In addition to its visual readout, the unit features an audible continuity tester operated via the included test probes. This allows the user to confirm circuit continuity by ear as well as by sight, which is particularly useful when both hands are occupied or when working in lower light conditions. The test probes are supplied with the unit. The tester is powered by a 9V PP3/6LR61 battery, which is available separately. Its breadth of function makes it a practical addition to any vehicle workshop, garage or domestic electrical toolkit where quick, reliable checks on common components are required.
