The meter features an easy-to-read LCD display with a backlight for clear readings in poorly lit conditions. To extend usability without draining the battery, the backlight switches off automatically after 30 seconds. A further power-saving measure puts the device into sleep mode after 15 minutes of inactivity, helping to conserve the 1 x 9V PP3 battery that powers it (not supplied). The meter carries a safety rating of CAT III 1,000V and CAT IV 600A, making it suitable for professional electrical measurement tasks. Internal protection is provided by two fuses: 1 x 10A/250V and 1 x 1A/250V. The sample rate is 3 times per second, delivering responsive, up-to-date readings during use.
