The Draper 35878 Diesel Compression Test Kit addresses this need with compatibility across both direct and indirect fuel injection systems, making it suitable for a broad spectrum of diesel-powered vehicles in professional workshop use. At the heart of the kit is a 63 mm diameter dual-reading pressure gauge spanning 0–1,000 psi and 0–70 bar, protected by a heavy-duty rubber guard against workshop knocks and impacts. The 380 mm flexible hose features anti-kink coils at both ends to prevent hose fatigue and extend service life. A spring-loaded pressure relief valve enables safe pressure release after testing, while an integrated Schrader one-way valve system retains peak pressure readings so results can be observed without haste. The 12-piece kit contains a comprehensive adapter set to suit a wide variety of diesel engine glow plug configurations. Contents include one 63 mm gauge, one 380 mm flexible hose, one clamping bracket, one right-angled hose adaptor, two non-threaded dummy glow plugs, seven dummy glow plugs covering multiple thread sizes, and an assortment of sealing washers to ensure a leak-free connection at the test point. All components are supplied in a purpose-made plastic storage case, keeping adapters organised and the gauge protected between uses — a practical consideration for busy workshop environments.
